Hey, hey, hey! It's time again for your monthly update on all the new and exciting things happening here at Miller's Dry Goods. It's the middle of the week and you've got 2 days until Friday, so take a small break, grab a cup of coffee or tea, sit back, relax and join our little world of fabric, notions, and fun!
Why don't we start by making sure you're caught up on all the big events that'll be happening around here over the next month and a half.
August 10th - The Charm Cool Down Event
The vendors in our little town host an annual event with free refreshments along with sales and deals. Refreshments are served are from 4-7pm, so come see us for free popcorn and drinks. We'll be offering some in-store specials AND from
12-7pm you'll have the opportunity to enter for a chance to win a BERNINA 330 with a $20 purchase*. *in-store purchases only
September 6-8 - The Ohio Amish Country Quilt Festival
Most of you should have received an email with details for this all new event. Along with Chestnut Ridge Sewing, Paw Patch Quilt Shop, and Lone Star Quilt Shop, we're hosting this 3 day festival at the Mt. Hope Event Center. There will be vendors, a sit and sew session, trunk shows, along with various classes for you to choose from. Visit the Ohio's Amish Country Quilt Festival website for a schedule of events and to sign up and register for classes & events. It's going to be a lot of fun, so we hope to see you there!
September 14 & 15- Gathering Stitches
Who doesn't love donuts and demos? You get both when you purchase a ticket to our Gathering Stitches Event. Hosted by 5 local quilt shops (Chestnut Ridge Sewing, Lone Star Quilt Shop, Helping Hands Quilt Shop, Plaid Sheep Company, and Miller's Dry Goods), Gathering Stitches will be held at Martin's Creek Mennonite Church, where you'll enjoy fresh locally made donuts, coffee, and a 10 minute demo from each of the 5 shops featuring 5 different easy to make projects. PLUS- you'll also receive a free gift and a 20% discount for each shop for that day, so you can go shopping to grab the supplies you'll need for the demoed projects. Call any of the participating shops to purchase a ticket for either Friday or Saturday! Event starts at 9:30am both days (doors open 1/2 hour earlier).
