January 2019 Newsletter

Happy New Year, friends! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas spent with family and friends. And while the holidays may be over, we hope you never officially lose your "Christmas spirit" as we enter into 2019.

The new year always seems like a reset button. A time for fresh starts. A time to set new goals or resolutions. Dare I say, even start new projects?

But let's not forget, that it's equally important to carry over the good things. Like a well-crafted, intricate quilt, there are certain resolutions and goals that won't be accomplished in a couple short months or even a year...and that's okay, as long as we keep striving forward towards those goals.

Here at Miller's our ongoing goal is to provide you with products that you'll love and to offer excellent customer service. The specific ways in which we do that may change over the years, but the basic goal stays the same.

We have some new goals for 2019 too! In fact, there's one that we'd like to introduce to you today.
We're excited to announce that we're going to start our first:

Block of the Month Subscription

Here are the details:

Shipping on this will begin Mid-January. Included in this first shipment is the pattern book, a large spool of Aurifil thread, and the first month's block kit. You can purchase this starter kit here. Continue reading for more details.

After signing up (by purchasing the starter kit) we will contact you to set up automatic billing for the remaining months. Each month will be $10 plus $5 shipping. You are also welcome to pick up your block kits in store each month if you are local.

There is also an option (in the drop down menu of the starter kit page) to purchase the entire kit upfront for an added savings. Purchasing the entire year will save you $45 on the full year's price! ($30 savings if you are picking up.) You will still receive block kits monthly and follow along!

Kit includes the pattern, 8 fat quarters, background fabric, and fabric for binding. Everything you need to complete the quilt top! Actual fabrics may change slightly from kit to kit but all will be from the Mighty Machines collection. Background fabric is a Bella Solid from Moda. Dandi Annie from Moda
Keeping on with the spring and summer theme (gotta have something to break up those winter-y blues, right?), Dandi Annie features prints of dandelion tufts, little birds, and leaves. Vibrant and luscious colors of mustard yellow, peach, various greens, and a little sky blue contrast beautifully with the dark charcoal color that also appears in the color scheme.

Inspired by Japanese cities -Machi is the Japanese word for city -and the artwork that can be found in the architecture and landscape of those cities, this collection features a combination of abstract and geometric style prints.
